Tiny Tarot Art Series: 0-22 Major Arcana Hand Embroidery on Reclaimed Fabric

Tiny Tarot Art Series: 0-22 Major Arcana Hand Embroidery on Reclaimed Fabric

Welcome to my most ambitious 'Waste to Wonder' project yet! In this series, I am hand-embroidering all 22 Major Arcana cards onto tiny squares reclaimed from an old table mat.

A few years ago, I embarked on this deeply personal creative journey. Each tiny piece became a meditation on transformation, both in materials and in myself.

Now, I'm ready to share this work with you.

The Story Behind the Series

This series is my comeback - a return to sharing my art and my story after time away. While stitching each card, I was learning about tarot, about symbolism, and most importantly, about myself. The slow, intentional process of embroidery gave me space to reflect, heal, and rediscover my creative voice.

Inspired by the classic Rider-Waite deck, I brought my own artistic interpretation to each card while honoring the traditional symbolism. Every stitch was deliberate. Every color choice meaningful.

From One Table Mat to 22 Tiny Artworks

Sustainability has always been at the heart of my practice. Rather than starting with new materials, I transformed a forgotten vintage table mat into 22 individual works of art. Each card measures just a few inches square - tiny, but full of detail and intention.

The upcycled fabric carries its own history, and now it holds new meaning through the tarot imagery stitched into it.

Sharing the Journey on YouTube

I'm documenting this series on my YouTube channel, sharing the process and story behind each card. I'm learning YouTube as I go - just as I learned tarot while stitching. It's all part of the journey.

Each card begins with a meditative ritual — watch the full ritual on YouTube →

So far, I've shared The Fool through The Emperor, with more cards coming soon. Each video is a glimpse into the making, the meaning, and the meditation of this work.

What to Expect

  • Full process videos of every Major Arcana card (0-22)
  • Sustainable 'Waste to Wonder' art techniques
  • Slow-art sessions for tarot enthusiasts and fiber artists

Discover the magic in the scraps. Follow along as we journey through the deck, one tiny stitch at a time.

What's Next

As I continue sharing the series on YouTube, I'm also preparing to make this artwork available as art prints, stickers, and postcards. The original embroidered pieces hold a special place in my heart, but I'm excited to share these designs in accessible formats soon.

Whether you're drawn to tarot symbolism, sustainable art, or simply love tiny detailed work, I hope these pieces speak to you.

Thank You for Being Here

This comeback series means everything to me. Thank you for being part of this journey - for watching, reading, and supporting my work as I share it with the world.

Big love,
Lo x
