and-embroidered Strength tarot card - Major Arcana card 8 - by Lolo Little Space

Strength: Where Compassion Conquers Force | Tiny Tarot Art Series

Courage from within. 8/21 Strength.

After The Chariot's forceful drive comes Strength - the card of gentle power, compassion, and inner courage. This is not about domination, but about taming our inner beasts with love and patience.

In my hand-embroidered tarot series, Strength represents the quiet courage it takes to create, to be vulnerable, and to approach challenges with gentleness rather than force.

The Symbolism

A woman gently closes the jaws of a lion, not through force but through calm confidence and compassion. Above her head floats the infinity symbol, showing that true strength is limitless and eternal. Her white robe represents purity of intention, while the flowers in her hair and around the lion suggest that strength can be beautiful and nurturing.

This card asks: Where can you be gentle with yourself? What wild parts of you need compassion, not control?

My Interpretation

Stitching Strength required patience and a soft touch - forcing the thread only creates tangles and breaks. The reclaimed linen, once discarded, is treated with care and transformed into something beautiful. This is the essence of Strength: seeing potential where others see problems, and approaching everything with compassion.

Strength reminds us that true power comes from within, and that gentleness is not weakness - it's the highest form of courage.

Strength's Message

  • Compassion - Be gentle with yourself and others
  • Courage - Face your fears with a calm heart
  • Patience - Lasting change takes time
  • Inner power - Your strength comes from within
  • Love - Kindness is the greatest force
