The High Priestess: Where Intuition Speaks | Tiny Tarot Art Series
Share
Tapping into intuition. 2/22 The High Priestess.
After The Magician's outward action comes The High Priestess - the guardian of inner wisdom, intuition, and the mysteries that cannot be spoken, only felt. This is the card of the subconscious, the moon, and the sacred feminine.
In my hand-embroidered tarot series, The High Priestess invites us to turn inward and listen to the quiet voice within.
The Symbolism
The High Priestess sits between two pillars - one black, one white - representing duality and balance. Behind her hangs a veil decorated with pomegranates, concealing deeper mysteries. She holds a scroll marked with the word "Tora" (divine law), and at her feet rests a crescent moon, symbol of the unconscious mind.
This card asks: What does your intuition tell you? What wisdom lies beneath the surface?
My Interpretation
Stitching The High Priestess required a different energy than The Magician - quieter, more contemplative. Each thread became a meditation, a practice in trusting the process without forcing the outcome. The reclaimed linen holds its own history, its own secrets, adding depth to the card's mystery.
The High Priestess reminds us that not everything needs to be explained or understood rationally. Some truths are felt, not thought.
The High Priestess's Message
- Intuition - Trust your inner knowing
- Mystery - Not everything needs to be revealed
- Patience - Wait for the right moment
- Sacred knowledge - Wisdom comes from within
- Balance - Honor both light and shadow
